You Snooze, You Lose

Okay is it just me or are the ones that didn't get nominated being a little bit of a sore loser? The big dogs in show business, HBO's Game of Thrones, ABC's The Good Wife, Scandal and Hulu's Gilmore Girls thought that they could just slack off and let the awards come to them, but The Academy Awards definitely checked the shows ego at the door and surprised them.

Those showes basically opened the doors for the newbies and first-time nominees to steel the award.

Game of Thrones has failed to release its new season in 2017 (which we are not happy about) and theirfore losing its winning streak and forcing The Acedemy to turn down their ego a few notches.  The show has a current count of 38 shining pure gold Emmys lined up on their shelf but this year they're not in the running.

If Lucios seems unhappy it's because he is. In fact, word is that the entire cast is upset at the fact that that they let down so many fans. But are extremely excited for at least a couple of new comers to take to the stage and have an Emmy in their hands. Speaking of fans, everyone, including myself, thought that the showes Lucious Lyon, played by Terrence Howard, would get a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series but nope.

We expected Samira Wiley to get a nomination, we just didn't guess the right show. She's in the running for Outstanding Supporting Actress in Handmaid's Tale but apparently not in Orange Is The New Black. But rest assured that the show is nominated for an Emmy.
