69th Annual Emmy Award Nominations - Who Rose To The Top & Who Fell

Phew! It's over. It's finally over, done, finito, good bye and sayonara. The results are in! Hollywood has spoken and the Emmy goes to... well I guess we'll just have to watch and find out on September 17th.

The 69th Annual Emmy Awards is underway and the nominees are announced. This has to have some A-list celebrities ecstatic! And well for the others out there not so much. But one things for certain, the fans are shook to the core at who won and who didn't.

Now, I must give props where props are due so congratulations to:

This Is Us for it's - get this - eleven Emmy nominations one of them being Best Drama Series and it's not only the show that's getting all the attention. Chrissy Metz is coming in hot and fresh as a new hand to receive her first Emmy nomination for supporting actress. But (And yes there is a but) wait that's not all surprisingly enough. Milo Ventimiglia has also been nominated along with others from the show.

How To Get Away With Murder's lead female character, Annalise Keating, played by the lovely Viola Davis, snatched the crown yet again coming away with the title of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

The Crown, the show itself, has won an Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series. Let's not forget to mention the Netflix series own John Lithgow and Claire Foy. Like Viola, she too is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series while John gets Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.

- The Handsmaid Tale had us craving more and with each episode they delivered. Hulu's reportedly best series raking in the sweet mula - wow - has a groundbreaking 13 nominations including Outstanding Drama Series. And some of those nominations are up for grabs as well for Elisabeth Moss, Ann Dowd, Samira Wiley & Alexis Bledel.

And many more stars deserve congratulations but what about the stars that didn't get a reserved seat at the Emmy's?

- Now, I know that you know that we both know that the Netflix's biggest audience attraction 13 Reasons Why should be up there at the high table, but sadly all those tears you cried on your couch that were oh so deserved, Emmy nominators weren't exactly feeling it. If you ask me, I can't find a single reason why the series wasn't nominated.

- Orange Is The New Black was feeling black and down in the dumps when the show's producers heard the hit Netflix series wasn't on the list either.

Hey, there's always next year guys, so don't feel so bad. You can catch the Emmy's live on  CBS.
