When you think of song artist, you probably picture someone like a Beyoncé, a Cardi, a Sam Smith or any popular North American artist. But if I ask for one Nigerian artist, not a whole lot of them come to mind. Maybe you should expand your horizon in musical taste - and by maybe I mean it's a necessity! Nigerian music artist are not only blowing up in the western world, but all over from country to county. Granted, it may take a minute to get to the ears of the people who are not used to cultural music beyond their own, but trust me if you do you WON'T be disappointed. Nigerian artist like Lola Rae, Lylah (French, but still Nigerian) Teni and much more are popular across sea's but on the night of the 2017 BET Awards only Wiz Kid, Davido, TEKNO, Mr. EAZI, StoneBowy, Aka, Nasty C and Babes Wodumo were nominated for Best International Act: Africa. But sorry to the rest of the nominees, this one was for Wiz Kid.
