Janaye Furman Leaves Her Heel Prints On The Runway And Makes History

Closing Paris Fashion Week is one thing but closing Paris Fashion Week and making a mark in history is a pretty bold move. But it's one that we all are proud to see happen. Louis Vuitton Spring 2018 show closed with it's first ever African American female model, Janaye Furman. Furman was discovered by Ashley Brokaw to walk in French fashion designer, Nicholas Ghesquiere who's currently the creative director of the House of Louis Vuitton, fashion show and introduced her to a new world of fashion.

Obviously this was huge step in the right direction for Ghesquiere in hopes to reach an even broader, more diverse community into fashion not to mention his show was genius. But to everyday common person it was another broken barrier between race, gender, and the industry. Kudos to you Nicholas. Kudos to you.
