Woman Of The Year Is...
Selena Gomez! Good for you Selena, you go Selena! On Thursday, Billboard held it's annual Women Of Music Award and Selena moved the crowd to tears as she accepted the Woman Of The Year Award. Arriving on the red carpet decked out in all black. (Which of course looked hot on Selena, I mean it's Selena freaking Gomez!) by Versace. On their instagram page, they feature the "Wolves" singer in a sexy bodysuit with scalloped bust detail and leather slashes trousers from their #VersauceTribute Spring Summer 2018 collection.
All of the biggest rising names in the entertainment business was there. Selena was one of them and she brought a plus one with her though.
Secret Life Of An American Tennager star, Francia Raisa, was also there side by side with her on the red carpet as well as in the audience, much like this picture above. Hey, you know what they say, share a kidney, friends for life!
"There aren't words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa. She gave me the ultimate gift of sacrafice by donating her kidney to me,"
She shared this picture of her scar after the surgery and provided a reason for why she's been AOL lately for so long.
"Some of my fans had noticed I was laying low for part of the summer. I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to lupus and was recovering. I honestly look forward to sharing with you my journey through these past past several months. Until then, I want to publicly thank my family and incredible team of doctors for everything they've done for me prior to and post surgery."
If you thought that statement was a tear jerker, bust out the tissues because the speech she made didn't leave a dry eye in the audience and possible the rest of you who tuned in.
"To be honest, I think Francia should be getting this award because she saved my life," the singer explained through tears. "I would like to thank my amazing team and family because they stuck with me through some really hard times. I couldn't be more grateful for the position that I've been given in my career. I want people to know that I respect the platform that I have so deeply...I've never felt more proud to be a woman in this industry. I am so grateful for all the older women who have helped us up."
Ugh, why do people have to be so sweet? Anywho, Selana wasn't the only onw who recived the Woman Of The Year award. On that night Taylor Swift, Pink, Fergie and Beyonce also gave their speeches and greatfully and happily accepted their awards.
